Crochet Mini Pixie Beanies for Kids
It seems silly to be crocheting warm woollies in the middle of summer!
We have had extremely hot days here so my energy for creating has been low. Today we saw a reprieve from the heat with some rainy clouds hovering all day, don’t get me wrong though…it was still humid and sticky! Yuck! I did however have some energy to spare and I wanted to make a start on my new range of kids clothing/accessories.
Last night I played around with my yarns and crochet hook and ended up crocheting a mini pink pixie beanie for a very special bubba 3-6 months old. It was so adorable I didn’t want to stop there. As many of you know, i dont use patterns to crochet, so i was very pleased with the result. Today I made a purple one in the same size and I just finished a rainbow (of course!) one in the size 9-12 months. My heart sung with joy looking at them! They are so adorable. I can’t wait to see the tiny little pixies who wear them.
I have been making the long pixie beanies for adults like these for a while now, but never have I made a mini pixie beanie for kids. I think they are so cute. Maybe I will make a range of little crochet mushroom play houses to go with them and perhaps some soft sewn faerie wings, now that would be a fun outfit.
